EPISODE 3 – The Bond of 1844
Storyline:
The trade routes have been blocked by the Fantes preventing the Asantes from selling merchandise to foreigners. There is heightened tension and mistrust between the Asantes and some of the southern tribes. This leads to anarchy and built up tension between the Asantes on the trade routes.
Into this state of constant war, and ambush steps one-man Captain George Maclean, who comes with a decisive task to restore trust and increase trading again within the southern trade routes. He must carry out careful negotiations of balancing the interests of the aggrieved parties. The British colonial rulers, the aggrieved southern tribes and the Asantes. Will he at long last be the one to succeed in his efforts at bringing peace and understanding where many have failed?
